This is a tiny very old village just outside the north west end of Laurelwood in Waterloo. New developments are in the works now and I expect that the village will be swallowed up by the city in the next few years. I’ll be sad to see the end of Erbsville Kartway, which is the only reason I even knew of the village when I was a kid. Much of the land surrounding Erbsville is still vacant but developments from Laurelwood and Vista Hills will meet up with the outlying parts of the village soon enough. The immediate area hosts some of the best schools in all of Waterloo Region and it’s no surprise that this is a very popular place to call home. Waterloo Golf Academy and Westhill Meadows Golf Course are both really close as is The Boardwalk and the new Costco. Laurel Creek Conservation Area is a great local attraction offering wild wetlands and camping in season. Be sure to check out Schneider’s Woods if you like hiking and XC skiing. There are quite a few grocery options to the south east. Despite the encroaching development Erbsville is very rural and the local green-space is still agricultural.
