Forest Hill is a mature Kitchener neighbourhood just north of the expressway on the west side of Kitchener, bounded by Highland, Homer Watson and Westmount Rd. Forest Hill’s west central location makes accessing the downtown quick and easy. It’s well served by public transit and the new LRT is easy to connect with. Homer Watson is the quickest way to access the expressway if you commute.

Beautiful Lakeside Park is a very popular local attraction. There are several sportsfields in the area including Queensmount which also offers hockey, skating and great Oktoberfest. The local high school has a library, a pool, tennis courts, soccer pitches and a skatepark.

For shopping there’s Highland Hills Plaza, Laurentian Mall and the Sunrise Centre. The Boardwalk is just a little further away. For groceries there’s at least a half dozen nearby grocery stores.

Properties in Forest Hill date from the late 1950’s into the early 80’s. The area is typically single family detached homes with bungalows dominating the older parts. There a small selection of semis and town houses to choose from as well. Lots feature mature trees and generous proportions when compared to newer portions of suburbia. If you want to buy in Kitchener, Forest Hill is a quiet little gem that’s definitely worth a look.
