Eastwood in Kitchener is a small neighbourhood just north of Conestoga Parkway east of King St. This quiet suburb provides quick access for commuters using the expressway or highway 8. Eastwood is served by public transit including an LRT stop just west of the neighbourhood.

The auditorium is next door if you are a sports fan and Rockway is perfect for golfers. Other attractions are Fairview and Stanley Park Malls, Chicopee and everything downtown Kitchener has to offer.

There’s lots of choice for groceries. There are three Zehrs, a Freshco, the Farmers Market and a Valu-mart to name just a few of them.

Schools are fairly close and mostly walkable with the exception of St. Mary’s on Homer Watson. But Eastwood high school is the only school actually located in the neighbourhood.

Housing in Eastwood dates from the late 1940s into the early 60s. You’ll find a mix of 1 ½ storeys and bungalows along with some low rise rental properties and the occasional 2 storey home. Lots are modest for the period but spacious by modern standards.

Eastwood is a great choice if you are looking for a centrally located Kitchener home with excellent access to the highway. Transit time from Eastwood to the 401 is 10 minutes on a typical day. The area offers plenty of convenience for activities and shopping. Vehicle traffic is minimal in the portion north of Weber.
