Laurentian West is a mostly newer, popular subdivision in Kitchener’s west end located west of Westmount, just south of the expressway. You can access the parkway via Trussler or Fischer Hallman making the area a great choice for commuters. There’s good public transit and the LRT is 2 neighbourhoods away.

‘Mostly newer’ means the portion west of Fischer Hallman. The earlier section of this neighbourhood is contemporary with older Laurentian Hills. You’ll see modest bungalows, two stories and sidesplits from the 70s and 80s in this area.

The western chunk is much more contemporary with construction beginning in the early 2000s. You’ll find detached two storeys, semis and townhomes here is a range of sizes and prices. There are parts nearer the Trussler end that are quite high end and new.

Laurentian West is definitely geared to modern family living with lots of schools, greenspace and things to do. More schools are planned as the area gets more fully built out. McLennan Park, Williamsburg and the Sunrise Centre are popular destinations.
