The Mill Courtland neighbourhood in Kitchener’s south ward is a mature downtown locale. It’s a mix of industrial, commercial and residential construction dating from early last century into the 1950’s. Much of the older industrial portions are on the way out and are being actively redeveloped. This is especially evident at the old J.M. Schnieder’s plant and along sections of King south of Benton. These projects will have a massive impact on the fortunes of the neighbourhood.

The residential properties are a mix of modest later bungalows and earlier two storeys with 3 or 4 bedrooms, and some modern condo developments as well. There are nearby schools and plenty of recreational and shopping choices due to the urban location. Rockway golf course sits on the southern boundary. Access to the expressway via Courtland or Ottawa provides a quick transit to he 401 if you commute. Mill Courtland is walkable and the LRT runs right through it as do several bus routes. This south ward Kitchener neighbourhood is worth a look if you are after the urban lifestyle.
