Trussler is one of Kitchener’s newest neighbourhoods. It’s located in the southwest corner right below the popular Laurentian West suburb. Trussler is bounded by Fischer Hallman, Trussler, Bleams and Huron Rd. You’ve got good access to the 401 and the expressway but limited public transit.

This neighbourhood is new, with nothing older than 2005 and much of it is newer than that. Development at the moment is centred on Huron Rd. and Seabrook. Much of Trussler still vacant land. Homes in the area range from nicer two storeys to low rise stacked condos. There is plenty to choose from for townhomes as well. Architecture is very contemporary.

Grocery selection is good but there are no stores in the neigbourhood itself. Janet Metcalfe school is brand new. But it’s the only school in Trussler so you’ll need to check schools by your address as some of the other schools are a bit further away. This is an issue in the newest developments and will change for the better once more new schools are built.

For recreation and shopping you’ve got the same great choices as the rest of the nearby neighbourhoods. The Activa Sportsplex, The Boardwalk, the Sunrise Centre, Huron Natural Area, McLennan and Homer Watson Parks are popular local attractions. There’s golf at Doon Valley too.
