Alpine is small affordable Kitchener neighbourhood just south of Ottawa St. and the expressway, bounded by Courtland and Strasburg. It’s a mix of commercial establishments to the north with the rest being residential properties. If you’re a commuter expressway access is quick and easy and the LRT runs right along Courtland for public transit.

Alpine sits just east of fantastic McLennan Park. This very popular park and nearby shopping at the Alpine Centre and the Sunrise Plaza are definitely nice attractions. The Activa Sportsplex and the Peter Hallman ball yard are great choices for the physically active.

You’ve got lots of choice for nearby groceries with the Zehrs on Ottawa being the closest. Other stores are a short distance further away. Local schools are mostly walkable or just a short bus ride.

The housing in Alpine is a mix of affordable townhomes, both condo and freehold, along with semis and detached properties. There are some low rise rentals on the southern borders of the area. Properties date from the late 60s into the early 90s
