Carriage Crossing and Country Squire are two Waterloo neighbourhoods immediately east of RIM Park and the Eastbridge neighbourhood. They are bounded by the Grand River to the south and to the east. There are no bus routes in the two suburbs. But a route does run on University connecting to the LRT at Conestoga Mall. Highway access is easiest along University.

Mature, and formerly rural, Country Squire has some spectacular older properties sitting on spacious acreage. The lots in this suburb could easily accommodate 5 or 10 full sized homes each with room to spare. To say they are oversized is not an exaggeration. There’s no question that many of these older homes are on well and septic.

Carriage Crossing is almost brand new. It has a high end feel too, but contemporary with much more closely spaced properties. A fair number of the homes in Carriage Crossing are under an unusual kind of freehold ownership that is also condominium at the same time. It’s not unlike an HOA like you’d find in the States as far as restrictions go. This is something you definitely want to know about if you are considering buying here.

Both neighbourhoods offer up similar amenities to Eastbridge without the schools. Grey Silo Golf Course and Rim Park figure prominently for easy to access, superior recreation. Walking trails and the Grand River are other great options. The Farmer’s Market is just up Northfield and Conestoga Mall is close enough too.
