Colonial Acres is a mature Waterloo neighbourhood just east of Conestoga Mall and to the south of Northfeld. This area would have been almost rural when the first construction began here in the late 60’s. However, the majority of the area was built out in the 70’s and 80’s with pockets of newer properties on the periphery.

There are several access points to the parkway and getting to the 401 is a breeze even for this north Waterloo location. Public transit is also very good, featuring several bus routes and the LRT stop right at Conestoga Mall.

While the neighbourhood does have a wide range of accommodation, a good chunk of Colonial Acres is decidedly high end. Prominent Annedale Park bisects the neighbourhood acting as a natural traffic barrier. It is impossible to drive across Colonial Acres from north to south without using the arterial roads on the periphery. Keeping traffic out of the centre of neighbourhood is impressive planning. The area is surrounded by plenty of schools to the south, east and west. Waterloo’s famous Farmers Market, Rim Park and Grey Silo Golf Course are exciting local attractions. The area is well served by numerous grocery stores and you are minutes away from the uptown if you are looking for dining and entertainment.
