Heritage Park is an east Kitchener neighbourhood located just south of Victoria on the west side of Lackner. It’s bounded by Stanley Park Conservation Area and Ottawa to the south, making for very easy expressway access. The 401 is about 15 minutes away. A couple of bus routes run right through Heritage Park with others running along the borders. The LRT stops just across King at Borden.

Construction in the area dates from the 1960s, 70s and 80s with homes getting newer as you head east. The newest of these homes would be perhaps 1990 vintage. There are some large apartment towers in the suburb but most of the housing is single detached along with some townhouses and condominium buildings. Lot sizes are generous by today’s standards.

Grand River High School sits at the south-east corner and several elementary schools also call the area home. Stanley Park Conservation Area is on the west side and is a perfect place for nature lovers. The area is just across the road from Stanley Park Mall and there’s good choice for groceries here and nearby.
