The Laurentian Hills neighbourhood in Kitchener sits south of the expressway in the west end bounded by Westmount, Strasburg and Block Line. Expressway access is excellent and the 401 is 15 minutes away. There’s bus routes on all 4 borders and the LRT is one neighbourhoood over.

The suburb is indeed somewhat hilly, and sits next to the massive hill that is McLennan Park. This park is a rehabilitated old landfill. It’s an absolutely wonderful space and a place you should definitely visit.

Homes are mix of limited rental, towns and semis, with single family detached predominating south of Ottawa. Homes range in age from the early 70’s into the late 80s in a good range of styles. Backsplits, bunaglows, sidesplits, raised bunagalows and 2 storeys can all be found here.

There’s plenty to do aside from McLennan Park. There’s lots of nearby nature, the Sunrise Centre and the Activa Sportsplex to choose from.  The neighbourhood is family friendly. Schools are close and you’ve got good local shopping.
