Pioneer Park is mature suburbia in the south end of Kitchener. It begins at the end of Manitou just south of Homer Watson. The lower reaches would be the Strasburg Creek bush line running across the neighbourhood. 401 access is excellent from Pioneer Park and the expressway is a short drive to the north. There’s good bus service but you are located quite south in the city.

The area is a mix of single detached housing and townhomes along with some higher density apartment construction in the north east end. Housing styles are bungalows, sidesplits, semis, two storeys and raised bungalows along with apartment style condos and townhomes. Pioneer Park development ran from the mid 70s into the late 80s and was mostly completed in this time-frame.

The area feature a lot of greenspace both in Pioneer Park and just outside the borders. There are ball diamonds and sportsfields for active kids as well. Be sure to check out the Activa Sportsplex and the Region Museum too.
