The Southdale neighbourhood in Kitchener is located just north of the expressway, bounded by Stirling and Mill Street. Getting to the expressway is instantaneous making this area perfect for commuters. And the new LRT goes right through the eastern section of the neighbourhood providing quick and easy access to the entire King St. strip.

There’s a ton of nearby green space including Lakeside Park and Rockway golf course. Kitchener’s famous Concordia Club has its home in Southdale. Other local attractions are a YMCA, and Woodside and McLennan Parks. Queensmount has hockey and skating.

For schools, the primary grades are served inside Southdale’s boundaries with senior public and high schools a little further away. There’s a good selection of grocery stores throughout the immediate area.

Architecture is a mix of low rise rentals and affordable single family homes dating from the late 50s into the 1970s. This area’s fortunes are on the upswing with the addition of the LRT and the redevelopment of the nearby Schneider’s lands already underway.
